Lourdes is my first refference to ask about anything related to Statistics, she knows a lot and have a very didactic way to explain her ideas, every time she uses examples to improve her explanations, that's very useful. She has lot of experience working in Statistics but, at the same time, she cares about keeping up to date. She is a great teacher and proffesional.

I am glad to have this opportunity to express my admiration for Lourdes. Her intellectual level and her passion for passing on her knowledge to her students are hard to find today. She was my teacher in several courses throughout my career and helped my friends and me even after graduating. All these show the level of commitment and love for what she does.

Lourdes is truly awesome! She always has a fun analogy to make sure the concepts behind statistical tests are clear. With her, it's always easy to know what kind of data you have and WHAT you want to do with it. This can be even more important than HOW to perform the tests, but she is also very capable of helping you understand the how.

Lourdes has an incredible pedagogical capacity. As biologist, with an extensive expertise managing datasets (especially big-data) she has the capacity to understand the nature of the data, to assess what is the best way to approach your 'research question' or interpret your data, and to teach one-to-one or in front of tens of students what is the best protocol to process your data.
I personally have worked with Lourdes with multiple datasets; such as phylogenetic, populational dynamics, and community structure and functionality. Moreover, her expertise goes beyond the mere biological aspect. If you are starting ask her, if you are in advance stage as her... she will know how to answer all your questions! No doubt
