HOLA, QUE TAL? HEY, HOW'S IT GOING?
I’m Maryell and I’m looking forward to meeting you and helping you learn Spanish. We’ll start by talking about your goals and interests and create a lesson plan structured around your needs, you’ll be speaking some Spanish from our very first lesson!
I will help you achieve practical results through creative teaching methods, building your confidence and conversation skills from day 1.
Having worked as a journalist in Latin America for 11 years I’ve learned to be engaging but also to listen carefully. These skills have been essential to me in helping my pupils master Spanish. I’ve been living in England for 11 years where I teach Spanish and freelance in photography, but often travel aborad to Mexico and India. I’m well spoken and was brought up to be bi-lingual in English / Spanish. I only teach online.

My teaching style varies from student to student as for some is easier to learn through hearing and for some others visually, hence I adapt to each person’s needs. Besides teaching basic and useful sentences for every day’s life, I try, from the start, to reinforce the importance of pronunciation and grammatical rules essential for a correct understanding and a positive development of any language. I like to induce my students to think in Spanish not just to literally translate since English is a very abstract language and Spanish is not.
