Let me say a couple of words about myself in English. During 21 years of successful teaching at the University, I held a position of Associate professor at the Department of Romano-Germanic Philology and Department of Linguistics, whose duties included developing methodological strategies, writing manuals for students on various subjects and on various aspects. I taught both first-year students aged 16-17 and tomorrow’s graduates; I conducted university preparatory courses for teenagers who planned to enroll in our university. An integral part of my responsibilities was to prepare tests, quizzes as well as to work out various tools and feedback methods to continuously monitor students’ progress throughout the learning process. I believe that, to achieve results in teaching, the teacher, first of all, should charm students as a personality and as a professional, captivate them with the ideas and the subject; inspire and support everyone and anyone by creating a friendly and collaborative atmosphere in the classroom. I see the primary goal of a teacher in encouraging and arousing curiosity about the subject. That’s why, I am proud that many of my former students chose teaching English as their profession; I am also proud of the fact that my students, having completed my English Grammar course, consider English grammar to be very simple and understandable. I feel pleased that my former students still keep in touch with me bringing their children to my English classes or recommending their acquaintances to study English with me. My moving to another country, to another continent with three minor children, proves my great organizational skills, my flexibility and my ability to adapt to circumstances. The fact that my children, who did not use to know a word of Spanish when they were forced to emigrate to Uruguay two years ago, are successfully studying at lyceums in Montevideo (my 14-year-old son who is specializing in engineering was fourth at the Uruguayan Physics Olympiad of 2024; my 14-year-old daughter finished her first year in Lyceum with all highest grades) reveals my proficiency and skills to foster a learning environment; to inspire, support kids of different age and stimulate their critical thinking and creativity.

Soy doctor en Filología desde 2004, enseño Inglés a estudiantes de diferentes edades y con diferentes niveles de Inglés. Por lo tanto, la técnica y los métodos de enseñanza dependen de la edad del estudiante, su nivel de Inglés, el psicotipo del estudiante y las tareas asignadas. Con un estudiante más joven, la lección estará dominada por canciones, poemas, dibujos animados en Inglés, con un análisis adicional de la gramática y el vocabulario en forma de juego. Puedo ayudar a entender las complejidades de la gramática del idioma Inglés de nivel C1-C2, ya que durante mis años de enseñanza en la Universidad, me especialicé en la enseñanza del curso "Gramática Inglesa" para filólogos y desarrollé y publiqué mi propio manual metodológico "Sintaxis". Al dominar los temas léxicos, la lección se basará en la lectura de textos en Inglés sobre este tema con el análisis del vocabulario. Luego, después de que se haya reunido un cierto vocabulario temático, se escucharán los textos y se discutirá verbalmente el problema que se está investigando. Al final, para fijar el tema, pasaremos a trabajos escritos basados en el tema que se está estudiando. En la preparación para los exámenes, se entrenan todas las habilidades necesarias: lectura, escucha, habla escrita, durante el trabajo se registran y trabajan todos los puntos débiles en el conocimiento.
