Acerca de Emma-Kate
Hi! I’m a 23-year-old English Language Assistant from Ireland, currently living in Barcelona. I have a degree in Computer Science, but I’ve always loved working with people and sharing my language, which is why I’ve also built experience as a private tutor alongside my work in a private school.
I’m a friendly, approachable teacher who enjoys helping students feel comfortable and confident when speaking English. I know firsthand how challenging (and sometimes awkward!) learning a language can be, so I always aim to create a relaxed space where mistakes are totally okay and part of the process.
My classes are practical, dynamic, and focused on real communication. I love using conversation, everyday topics, and real-life situations to help students improve naturally. I also adapt each lesson to your goals—whether that’s improving fluency, preparing for exams, or gaining confidence for work or travel.
I decided to teach because I genuinely enjoy connecting with people, seeing progress, and helping students unlock new opportunities through English. I bring energy, patience, and a positive attitude to every class, and I love making learning enjoyable.

My classes are practical, relaxed, and fully adapted to each student’s level and goals. As an English Language Assistant in a private school and a private tutor, I combine structured learning with real-life communication practice to help students build confidence and fluency.
I focus mainly on speaking and listening, using conversation-based activities, role plays, and everyday topics to make English feel natural and useful. Grammar is taught in a clear and simple way, always applied in context rather than just theory.
Depending on the student, I also support exam preparation, vocabulary building, pronunciation, and writing skills. Each lesson is personalised, whether you want to improve for work, studies, travel, or general confidence.
My approach is patient, encouraging, and interactive, creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident to speak and make progress at their own pace.
