Irene has been teaching my 9 year old daughter Spanish for approximately 3 years. She has been teaching her in person at our home and more recently via Hangouts.

Each week Irene prepares a different class which is emailed to me ahead of the lesson. I have seen a huge improvement in my daughter’s Spanish especially in her verbal skills where she was previously very reluctant to speak Spanish.

I would highly recommend Irene as she is extremely thorough, patient and has a very professional manner.

Irene has been teaching me Spanish for about 18 months. She is friendly, supportive, pushes when necessary, patient, and a natural, as well as fully trained, teacher.

I had had previously had beginner/intermediate lessons (group classes), but I am very slow.

Anyway, there had been a gap and I was forgetting what little I'd learned so thought I'd like to practice Spanish conversation. That's when I found Irene.

At first we met in Starbucks (those were the days!) and she evaluated my Spanish. I was REALLY nervous but she's a lovely person. Next time she came fully prepared with conversation prompts and guides as I wasn't really up to unprompted conversation.

She is a trained in Spain. She has fully brought her teaching skills along to help me.

We now work online. Her classes are inventive. She's picked up on my interests and uses those as well as my desire to "sound" Spanish so she works on my accent. I've started to return to grammar and she produces perfect little work sheets for my "homework". The hour goes by in a flash.

I have definitely improved, know a lot more words, phrases and general comprehension. (And about Spain). I'm even using verb tenses.

So adult, or child, I recommend learning with Irene. I feel she will just tailor the lessons to your needs.
