Acerca de Gagik
I am a machine learning engineer, currently doing a master's in Artificial Intelligence in Barcelona. Earlier I spent two years building models for drug discovery research and taught statistics at university level. Before that, a year applying machine learning to astrophysics research and to quantitative research.
I teach because most people who think they are bad at maths were simply taught it as a set of rules to memorise, with the reasoning left out. Once you see why a formula is what it is, it stops needing to be memorised.
I am patient, direct about what you have got wrong, and I do not pretend a hard thing is easy.

Classes are in English, for university and master's students and secondary students in international schools.
The first lesson is diagnostic: bring your problem set, exam paper, or the slide that stopped making sense, and we find where the understanding actually breaks. It is rarely where you expect.
After that, every lesson has the same shape. I explain the idea from first principles and define every symbol instead of assuming it. Then you solve problems while I watch and correct in real time. You do the work; I do not lecture at you for an hour.
Strongest areas: statistics and probability, calculus, linear algebra, and the maths behind machine learning.
