¡Hola!
Mi nombre es María Teresa, ¡encantada de conocerte! =)
I'm from sunny Alicante, Spain and I've been teaching my native language for 10 years for all ages and levels. In 2014, I studied a Master's in Spanish at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, USA, where I also worked as a Spanish professor. During those years, I completely fell in love with the process of teaching my mother tongue and realized the need to create a language class where students could feel that same passion for their learning experience, which meant developing fun and original materials focused on a conversational approach.
During my experience as a Spanish professor, I have taught at the University of Hawaii, at Green River College in Washington, and at Cervantes-accredited schools in Spain. I own a Spanish online School called "Maeztu Spanish School" and this year, I have completed a PhD in Spanish and English studies.

As a language learner myself, I know how challenging learning a new language could be, that's why I create personalized lessons in order to adapt to the student needs and objectives. I am very enthusiastic and patient and I always try to create a friendly space for the students to feel confident to speak Spanish from the very first class.
I offer:
-Levels: A1-C2
-Individual classes or small groups
-Practice communicative skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing
-Free included materials.
-Adaptability and flexibility.
-Online classes.
-DELE preparation.
I believe that learning a new language should be based on a creative process that resembles real-life interactions. My lessons have original materials covering all the grammatical aspects you need to learn about the language, but more importantly, they focus on practicing that knowledge in real conversations by developing students' critical thinking.
Books are our guide, but lesson plans will be created with videos, stories, songs, and many other interactive games that will help you feel confident to speak Spanish.
