Acerca de Edbert
Hi! I’m Ed — a Mandarin teacher with a BA from National Taiwan Normal University, currently pursuing my Master’s in MTCSOL (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) at Fujian Normal University.
I have been teaching Mandarin for over 5 years to students from different countries. My teaching style is clear, patient, and practical, often enriched with humorous explanations to make learning enjoyable.
I adapt my lessons to each learner:
1. Kids learn through fun and engaging activities.
2. Adults receive structured, professional lessons tailored to their goals.
3. Teens who may feel uninterested in the language discover new motivation through interactive and relatable approaches.
Beyond Mandarin teaching, I have experience tutoring English for Mandarin-speaking children and working in Mandarin–English translation.
Teaching is not just my profession but my passion — I love helping learners of all levels progress with confidence, whether they prefer a slower pace with detailed explanations or a faster, more dynamic approach.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy exploring languages, culture, and cross-cultural communication, which I often bring into my lessons to make them more authentic and meaningful.

2. Teens (13–18): Listening with C-dramas, schoolwork, HSK 1–3, creative tasks
3. Adults (18+): Workplace Mandarin, travel Mandarin, discussions, real-life scenarios, HSK preparation (if required)
