Hola, me llamo Luis, soy profesor titulado de español y voy a ayudarte a usar el español en tu día a día.
I have a wide experience teaching languages, especially Spanish for foreigners.
But I also have a wide experience learning other languages, so I can easilyunderstand the struggles and difficulties that one can face when learning a new language.
I like focusing on conversation. Because, let's be honest, probably you're not aiming to get a PhD in Spanish Language. You just want to be able to use it when shopping, when meeting new people, when having a phone call.
And, believe me, that's easier than it looks. You just need to lose the fear and have fun learning. And only then it will come to you naturally.

I know. You look upon the day someone says to you "¡qué bien hablas español!".
But, damn, you freak out even when you have to ask where is the bathroom.

Ugh.
I know that feel. Well, not in Spanish obviously, but I have been living abroad and I have struggled with the simplest things in foreign languages.
The fear. The cold sweat. The embarrassment.
Meeeeeec! First mistake when learning a language!
Never be embarrassed.
Would you laugh at a foreigner trying to speak your native language? Of course not. Actually, you would appreciate so much the effort and would try to be as helpful as you could.
Well, it's not different in Spain.
I know we can seem loud, unpolite, scary...
did I say loud yet?
But we are actually nice. And yes, we love that foreigners try speaking Spanish.
Even if it's not perfect.
Even if it's not good.
Even if it's awful.
But trying. Trying makes the difference.
That's why I want you to try. Just speaking.
I've seen foreigners with a really good Spanish that don't use it because they think it's not perfect.
Maybe you're one of them.

Con el método que Luis imparte sus clases he perdido la vergüenza a hablar en inglés y mejore rápidamente. La clase pasa volando.
No tengo un inglés malo, pero hablar siempre ha sido mi talón de Aquiles. Me pongo nervioso, me siento ridículo y me da la impresión de que se van a reír de mí. Con Luis he podido practicar en un ambiente distendido, sin sentirme juzgado y encima hemos tenido una charla interesante. Muy recomendable.
